Create an Audit Checklist

Audit checklists help you track every step of an engagement. Choose a template to pre-populate items, or start with a blank checklist and add your own.

Steps

  1. Go to AuditChecklists in the sidebar.
  2. Click New Checklist.
  3. Fill in the details:
    • Client — select the business this checklist is for.
    • Name — give the checklist a descriptive title.
    • Template — choose from:
      • VAT Audit — pre-loaded with VAT compliance steps.
      • Financial Statement — covers standard financial statement audit procedures.
      • Internal — internal audit checklist items.
      • Compliance — regulatory compliance checks.
      • Blank — start from scratch.
    • Description (optional) — add context or scope notes.
  4. Click Create Checklist.
  5. Checklist items are pre-populated based on the selected template. Add, edit, or remove items as needed.

Tips

  • Templates save time — customize them after creation to fit the specific engagement.
  • Use the Blank template when you need a fully custom checklist.
  • Each checklist is tied to a single client for clear organization.
