View Trial Balance

The trial balance lists all accounts with their debit and credit balances for a given period. Use it to verify that your books are balanced before generating financial statements.

Steps

1. Go to Financial → Trial Balance in the sidebar.
2. Select your Business from the dropdown.
3. Select the Period you want to review.
4. Review the report — every account with activity is listed with its Debit and Credit balance columns.
5. Check that total Debits equal total Credits at the bottom of the report.

Tips

• If debits do not equal credits, there is an error in your journal entries that needs to be corrected.
• Use the trial balance as a starting point before generating the Balance Sheet or Income Statement.
• You can print or export the trial balance for your records.
